When Michael O’Neill the Northern Ireland International Soccer team manager agreed to become the patron of JT Inspires Trust, his agreement re-established a link going back a decade to 23rd July 2003 in Helsinki when Michael was a player for the Glentoran team that beat HJK Helsinki. Jonathan was the Glentoran mascot at that match and after the game Michael gave Jonathan his Glens shirt. This was framed and remained one of Jonathan’s most treasured possessions for the rest of his life.
The Trustees are both grateful and delighted to have Michael’s support as Patron of the Trust.
The Charity was officially launched on the 19th November 2013 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, by its Patron, Michael O’Neill with Consultant Cardiologists Frank Casey and Chris Lockhart together with Alan and Patricia Tate in attendance.
The Trust is incorporated in Northern Ireland and is limited by guarantee, registration NI 619670.
Deemed a Northern Ireland Charity and registered with the Charities Commision – NIC 101913.
